NOTICE
BONANZA FOR GUEST TEACHERS IN HARYANA

Haryana Govt. has announced an increase in the remuneration of Guest Teachers @ 20% to the existing remunerations w.e.f. 1st July, 2011. About 15400 teachers will bebenefited with this revision in salary.
The Govt. shall incur an additional annual expenditure to the tune of Rs. approximately 50 Crore.
To achieve the objective of ensuring quality of education in Haryana, it was decided in 2007 that all the
vacant posts (about 17000) shall be immediately filled up by hiring guest faculty so that students
may be benefitted and their studies do not suffer for want of teachers. At present there are about 15400
guest faculty teachers of different categories working in the State. This is the 4th time when increase has
been made by this Govt. in the remuneration of guest teachers. The first increase was effected on 1.1.2008, the second was effected on 1.4.2009 and the third increase was effected from 1.7.2010.
To ensure provision of teachers for all children (nearly 27.33 lakh children study in Government schools), to mitigate the impact of rising inflation and to improve quality of education, it has been decided by the Govt. to increase the remuneration of guest teachers @ 20% over the existing remuneration. With this increase a Lecturer will get Rs. 19,400/- P.M against Rs. 16,200/- P.M, Master & Language Teachers will get Rs. 15,840/- P.M against 13,200/- P.M and JBT/Drawing Teachers will get Rs. 14,400/- P.M against existing Rs. 12,000/- P.M. This will boost the morale of the guest teachers and motivate them for improved teaching in the schools.
